Obtaining a Retirement Visa to Thailand: Step-by-Step Instructions
A Retirement Visa is a long-term visa intended for foreigners over 50 years of age who wish to live in Thailand on a permanent or long-term basis.
We offer two options for obtaining a retirement visa.
Option 1: Applying for a retirement visa in Thailand
Main conditions:
Applicant's age: from 50 years
A bank account in Thailand
Minimum balance: 800,000 baht in the account for the last 3 months before filing
Application is submitted no later than 25 days before the expiration of the current visa/stamp
A mandatory visit to the Immigration Office for photographing
Required documents:
Passport (original)
Bank book (original)
Electronic photo on a white background
TM30 certificate of registration at the place of residence
Important: The passport will be kept at the immigration service for up to 1.5 months.
Obligations:
Registration at the place of residence
Confirmation of residence every 90 days (90-days report)
When leaving Thailand, you must obtain a Re-Entry stamp in advance, otherwise the visa will be cancelled
You must stay in Thailand until the visa is completed
Option 2: Obtaining a retirement visa at the Thai Consulate in Moscow
Conditions:
Age: from 50 years
Only for citizens of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus
Registration - at the Thai Consulate in Moscow
Visa type: Multiple Entry (multiple entry)
The visa is not extended within Thailand
Required documents:
Scan of all passport pages
Photo 4×6 cm on a white background (in electronic form)
Bank statement in English, with a balance of at least 800,000 baht (equivalent) for the last 3 months
Medical certificate (without indicating prohibited entry) diseases)
Insurance certificate, issued in the established form (with the signature and seal of the insurance company)
Medical insurance issued by a Thai or foreign insurer:
Coverage for general diseases, including COVID-19
Minimum coverage amount: USD 100,000 or 3,000,000 baht
Certificate of no criminal record
Please note:
The visa does not require Re-Entry - you can freely leave and enter Thailand
After entry, you also need to:
Register at the place of residence
Confirm the address every 90 days (90-days report)
