• Motorcycle - 10,000 baht; conversion - 7,500 baht

• Conversion is an exchange of a Russian category for a Thai one. If you only have a Russian license, you will need to translate your license at the Russian consulate to convert it in Phuket.

Process:

• Exam: held twice, on Tuesday and Sunday in Phangha province, or in Krabi on Saturday and Sunday (with an overnight stay at your expense).

• Roundtrip transfer is included in the price. Exam days may change, final dates are confirmed after payment.

• Location of license receipt: transport department in Phuket.

• Payment for all services is made at the driving school in Phuket.

Process:

1. Meeting with the manager

2. Two visits to the driving school (free transfer)

3. Visit to DLT (traffic police) for a photo and obtaining a certificate

The entire process takes about 3 weeks.

• Motorcycle — 13,500 baht; conversion — 13,000 baht

• Car — 19,000 baht; conversion — 13,000 baht

The process takes about 7 days.

• To obtain a motorcycle license — 2 days at a driving school, for a car — 3 days. Presence is required.

• All documents are prepared within 3 days.

• On the appointed day, you must come to the DLT (traffic police) to take a photo and receive the license.

• Fine for not having a license — from 1,000 baht.

• Initially, a temporary license is issued for 2 years. After that — exchange for a license for a period of 5 years.

• In Thailand, a motorcycle license and a car license are two different licenses.
